RAFT - Resource Area For Teaching *FULL*

Here are some important guidelines for this event:

Required Footwear: Closed toe shoes

   -On-site parking is available in the front and along the left-hand side of the building.

   -Please leave all personal belongings (purses, backpacks, computers, etc.) in your vehicle or at home.

   -Event overview: Upon arrival each volunteer will sign-in using the computers in the lobby.  The group will then gather in the Break Room for a brief introduction and video about RAFT. The group then enters the Volunteer Room where various projects will be described. Typical volunteer activities include:

        --assembling hands-on learning kits

        --assembling sub-assemblies for hands-on learning kits

        --providing quality control for assembled kits    

        --sorting, packaging, or pricing donated materials for distribution at RAFT’s Resource Center in San Jose

**Consider bringing a donation that can be used in RAFT educational kits:

-- clear sheet protectors (new or used)

-- new ink jet transparencies      

-- color cardstock paper

-- new index cards (with or with lines)

-- 1 inch velcro (both loop & hook)

--Card, cash and check donations are accepted

A maximum of 10 people can sign up for this event. The deadline to unregister is 12pm on Wednesday, Sept. 25.
