Application Fees

ONLY CHECKS OR MONEY ORDERS ARE ACCEPTED

    • Pledge (Undergraduate/MSA/MST): $95.00
    • Member (Undergraduate/MSA/MST): $85.00

Gold Pledge/Member discount: If you completed the point requirements for either a Gold Pledge or Gold Member your previous semester in BAP, you are eligible for a $10.00 discount off the above dues.

Please make your payment out to “Beta Alpha Psi” and be sure to print your Name/Student ID on the check. Note that BAP requires all accepted Pledges and Members to pay or earn fundraising dues of $60 before the semester is over in order to satisfy the Fundraising point goal. See the bottom of this page for our refund policy.

 

Terms and Conditions

All accepted Pledges and Members are required to do the following:

    • Complete their point requirements.
      • Failure to complete the point requirements will result in a 2 semester expulsion from BAP.
    • Maintain a concentration and overall GPA of at least 3.0.
      • Pledges who fail to do so will not be allowed in BAP the following semester
      • Members who fail to do so will be put on probation
    • Show up for all three Chapter Meetings and Banquet (MSA/MST students must show up for at least two of the meetings).
    • Show up to events they sign up for on this website, not attending events that have been signed up for will result in a deduction of points.
      • Be active in Fundraising, Community Service, Social Activity and Professional Development events.
    • Strive for integrity and professionalism

Please note that BAP requires all participants to pay or earn fundraising dues of $60 in order to satisfy the FR points requirement.

 

Application Procedure

The deadline for applying AND submitting your transcript(s), check and course schedule is Thursday, February 9th, 2016 at 4:00pm.

  1. Check your eligibility to see you are eligible to apply as a Pledge or Member.
  2. Read the Terms and Conditions section above so you know what you're getting into.
  3. Fill out the application available online, which is found under the "Join Bap" tab on the website. 
  4. Print out a copy of your unofficial transcript.
  5. Print out a copy of your current semester's schedule.
  6. Get an envelope and put your check written out to "Beta Alpha Psi" (with your name and student ID in the memo section of the check), your unofficial transcript, and your current class schedule inside the envelope. 
  7. Seal the envelope and write your full name on the front.
  8. Bring the envelope to the Lucas College and Graduate School of Business Business Tower, Suite 850.

The President of Beta Alpha Psi will send you an e-mail after your application has been reviewed and processed. Thank you for your interest in Beta Alpha Psi. Good luck at San Jose State University!

 

Refund Policy

No refunds will be available after 7 days from the application deadline. A $20 fee will be assessed should an applicant be accepted into the organization and decide not to join plus any additional fees associated with returning a check.
